The third Survey tool I tried was polldaddy.com. Polldaddy can create both polls and surveys as well as quizzes and ratings. This is the only site that I tried that could create quizzes and ratings. The surveys are easy to make and end up looking possessional. They have some great themes that make your survey look good, or you can make your own. Click on the link below to see a sample survey.
And here is a poll:
Here's a rating:
And, last but not least, a quiz:
So that's Polldaddy, survey tool number three. I'll have to tell you about number four very soon!

The Quest for the Perfect Survey Tool
Lately I have been trying out some free online survey tools. I'm going to try six in all and then rank them.
The second one is FluidSurveys.com. Fluid Surveys can make both surveys and polls. It is also easy to use, although not as simple as SurveyMonkey. The surveys turn out professionally and good looking. Here's a survey (I know it's really small-- here's the link to see it full screen: http://fluidsurveys.com/surveys/squirt/fun-survey/ ) :
And here is a poll:
I'll post about more survey tools soon! At some point I am also planning to add pictures to the "Websites" page.
So here are numbers one and two:
The first survey tool is SurveyMonkey.com. I think I have blogged about this before. It's extremely easy to use and it makes very professional looking surveys. It does have a limit of ten questions per survey that can get kind of annoying at times, but overall I think this is an awesome survey tool. Here's an example survey:
Create your free online surveys with SurveyMonkey, the world's leading questionnaire tool.

Prezi
Prezi.com is a new kind of presentation tool! Instead of spread out on many pages, a Prezi presentation only has one page. You can zoom in and out of the presentation, revealing new details and text. It can be a little tricky to use at first, but Prezi has several helpful tutorials avaliable on their website.

Game Maker by Yo Yo Games
You can download a cool tool for making games at: yoyogames.com. It takes a while to learn how to use it, but you could make some pretty cool games with this.
I would reccomend reading the "make your first game" tutorial. It is really helpful and shows you how the game maker works.

Microsoft's Web App
Microsoft Office has released its new web app! Now you can make microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and OneNote documents online.
Besides making documents online, you can also upload documents you've made on Word, PowerPoint, Excel and OneNote and share them online. The online tool creates files for the newer versions of Word, PowerPoint, Excel and OneNote (.docx, .pptx, etc.) so you may not be able to upload files made on older versions of Microsoft Office.
Of course, the online version doesn't have all of the great features of Microsoft's programs. But if you don't have Word, PowerPoint, Excel or OneNote or want to share your documents online, this can be a really handy tool.
You can find it at skydrive.live.com. To use it you have to have a Windows Live account. If you use Hotmail you already have the account you need. Just sign in with your email address. The sign in page looks EXACTLY like Hotmail's sign in page, but it's not Hotmail!

Blabberize
On Blabberize.com you can make photos talk! All you have to do is upload a photo to the site and mark the mouth(s). Then you can upload audio or use your microphone or telephone to record your own. Blabberize will make the mouth(s) move up and down to match the audio.
Sometimes marking the mouth(s) can be a little tricky. Also, if you are recording your own audio you have to be careful about Ps, Ts, talking too loudly, etc. because the jaw could drop waaaay too far.

Sketchcast
Sketchcast.com is a very interesting online tool.
You make a drawing using your mouse and then Scetchcast will play it back. You can choose from a variety of different colors and even text. I could see it being used for a lot of different things.

Prints
I came across this site that has interactive animations about how prints are made. It's pretty cool. Here's the link:

280 Slides
280slides.com is pretty much an online PowerPoint. I think it's really cool because it has a built in tool that lets you find pictures and videos from the internet and put them in your presentation without leaving the site. You can also access your presentations from any computer.
I would reccomend using 280 slides only on faster computers, as it can be very slow at times. It doesn't have some of the great features PowerPoint does.
But for an online, free program, it's pretty good.
Speaking of presentation programs, I heard that Microsoft will be releasing its new online tool at the end of June!

Google Docs and Microsoft online
Google Docs is a great tool that is simmaler to Microsoft Office, except that it's free and online. You can also share your documents with other people--then those people can make changes to your documents and you will see the changes right away. It's way faster than emailing a file back and forth! With Google docs you can create spreadsheets (like on Excel), presentations (like on PowerPoint), documents (like on Word) and online surveys.
I heard that Microsoft is planning to make a simmaler online tool to compete with Google Docs. I'll let you know as soon as I find out more!

Build-a-bear-ville
Build-a-bear-ville is a fun virtual world by Build A Bear Workshop.
You don't have to have a Build A Bear stuffed animal to sign up, but you can't play some of the games or get a house until you have adopted your Build A Bear online. You can only adopt newer Build A Bears on this site.

Wordle
At wordle.net you can create really interesting 'word clouds.'
All you have to do is paste in a bunch of text (a chapter from a book, a bunch of random words, etc.) or type in the address of a blog. Then wordle will mix up all of the words you typed (or words from the blog) and turn them into a 'word cloud' (you'll see what I mean if you try Worlde out). Then you can change the color, font and arrangement of the words.

Scratch
Scratch is a really awesome program you can download at scratch.mit.edu.
Scratch teaches you the basics of programming in a fun and easy way. I would reccomend checking out the help section on the website before you start with Scratch-- it's very helpful when you're first starting out. And Scratch also comes with several example projects that have scripts you can play around with.
